(*)We use meteorologic data from our meteorological station in Destnice near Saaz. 30-years average (1981 – 2010) according to Czech Hydrometeorological Institute is being used as long-term average. (Up to 2016 the 1961 – 1990 average has been used.)

July was standard as to the temperature and above-average as to the precipitation in comparison with long-term average. Hop plants at all the area are in phase of cone creating. Chemical protection against Peronospora, hop aphid and red spider mite went on individually according to the situation in particular localities. Health state of hops is good. Based on the current stand of hop growth the beginning of harvest is expected before August 20th. Anyway hop growth remain weaker compared to the last year. Photo made on July 30th shows the current average stage of hop garden. |
