(*)We use meteorologic data from our meteorological station in Destnice near Saaz. 30-years average (1981 – 2010) according to Czech Hydrometeorological Institute is being used as long-term average. (Up to 2016 the 1961 – 1990 average has been used.)
Comment:
The month of May was above-average as to the temperature and markedly substandard as to the precipitation in comparison with long-term average. The minimum temperature below zero occurred in the middle of May slowed the growth of hop plants. During May the first hop training and hilling were finished at all the regions. Chemical protection against Peronospora was made at most of areas. Health state of hops is good. The average stand height reached 2,5 meters at the end of May.
