Comment:

June was ordinary both as to the temperature and precipitation compared to the long-term average. During storms there was even hail squall monitored in solitary locations but damage to hop stand is small. Arround half of the hop area reached 7 m height (top of the trellis) in the middle of June already. It means these areas shaped faster than usual. In fact the whole reamining hop stand reached the top of the trellis in standard time by the end of June. Mainly in lower altitude hop plants are in the stage of flower buds creation. The weather was favourable for spread of Peronospora so the chemical protection was focused on this disease. The health state of hops is good. Attached photo from June 30th shows the actual typical stand of hop gardens.
